At Colebrooke's we pride ourselves in our young, intelligent and high skilled team. Each teacher brings with them their own professional qualifications, experience and ideas to make every class enjoyable for all. 

CHRIS COLEBROOKE

CHANELLE COLEBROOKE

Responsible For: Everything!

 

Chris have been performing since the age of 3, starting with Ballroom and Latin American dance at L P Dance Centre.  

 

Chris has competed across the country both at social and national level and retired from competitive dance aged 16 to take up his teaching exams with the National Association of Teachers of Dancing.

With teaching qualifications for both N.A.T.D and N.E.A (Academy of Speech and Drama, London - as of June 2017 ), Chris opened Colebrooke Productions in 2014.

When he is not teaching Chris can be found in the local theatre at the Whitby Pavilion as part of the Marketing Team.

Responsible For: Freestyle, Contemporary & Heels

 

Chanelle has been dancing and performing since the age of 3, competing at national level in dance competitions held around the country in Freestyle, Slow Dance / Contemporary, Street & Rock N’ Roll.

Retiring from the world of Freestyle aged 16, Chanelle joined Chris as they worked together to create a place where children could have fun, learn and perform and the result was Colebrooke Productions.

Chanelle also runs the Freestyle Competition Class and competes across the country in Fast & Slow Freestyle

When not at Colebrooke's, Chanelle is working hard training to become a Policewoman.

AMBER NEWTON

EL BUSBY

Responsible For: Students Aged 5 - 10, Freestyle & Club Colebrooke

 

Amber has been dancing since the age of 2 and has been involved in many local dance and drama shows. 

Like Chris and Chanelle, Amber has too taken exams with both N.A.T.D & U.K.A.

She has been involved with Colebrooke Productions since 2015 and from April 2018, took over the running of Club Colebrooke; our Youngest Drama & Dance Class.

Amber is currently studying Teaching and Education studies at Coventry University Scarborough with hopes to become a Primary School Teacher in the future.

Responsible For: Musical Theatre & Private Tuition

 

El has been performing from a young age and has grown up surrounded by music & the arts. 


El is professionally trained in various styles of must including classical, musical theatre and modern.

Achieving all her relevant qualifications through examinations with ABRSM (Ass. Board of the Royal Schools of Music) and RSCM (Royal School of Church Music). 


El joined Colebrooke Productions at the end of 2017, and now acts as our Head of Music, organising all the musical elements for our shows and events. 

JOSH HARRISON

LYDIA STEPHENS

Responsible For: Students Aged 10+, Exams & Colebrooke Juniors

 

Josh has performed from an early age, attending drama clubs outside of school throughout his childhood. 

His first love from leaving school was teaching and Josh has worked through many examinations and courses and now works full-time in Nursery Care. 

Back at Colebrooke Productions, our longest serving member after Chris and Chanelle, Josh looks after his own Drama Class and Examinations with the NEA, as well as Child Welfare and Safeguarding alongside Chris.

Responsible For: Media, Social & Website

 

Lydia has also performed from an early age, and will usually dive in to help us if needed, but she much prefers being behind the camera. 

Recently finishing University of York with a 1st in Marketing, Lydia has been working on the social media for Colebrooke Productions since October 2014. 

Most of Lydia's jobs for Colebrooke's can be completed without actually being here in person, so when she does get the chance to return to Whitby, we are always happy to see her.
